Which LiFePO4 battery is better for you

These days, lifepo4 battery becoming a new trend in the energy storage market and trying to replace the lead acid battery in the following 10 years. Compared with the lead acid battery, lifepo4 battery is more stabilization and longer cycle lifes. Lifepo4 battery cell is widely use in different areas in our life, like solar energy storage, e-motors energy system support and solar lights, etc.  But the market has lithium ion battery and the lifepo4 why we suggest lifepo4 battery at this stage. But how to choose the lifepo4 battery is another important topic for us to study. 
 

Here are 4 specs need to be extra careful when choosing lifepo4 battery cells. 
1. Life span. LiFePO4 batteries typically have a longer life span than lithium ion batteries. A-grade lifepo4 battery cell, in theory should have cycle life more than 4000 times (with 80% dod). This is because they're less prone to degradation and are more stable.
2. Cost.  A-grade lifepo4 battery cells in the market is not going to be low price or cheaper than lithium ion battery.  But need to be confirmed that it’s A grade, lots of suppliers in the market sell the B-grade cells as A-grade. It’s very important to recognized the real A-grade quality. Cost is  a very important guarantee, the material of the lifepo4 is very high so the super cheap price is not going to approve for A-Grade cells. 
3. Capacity. LiFePO4 batteries typically have a higher capacity than lithium ion batteries. As the result, the lifepo4 battery has a bigger storage volume. This could be a great application in the solar energy storage and UPS application.Chosing the right capacity is depends on the each project’s situation. Lifepo4 battery has different capacity could apply in different project and do not have that much limitation in application. 
4. Efficiency. LiFePO4 batteries have higher efficiency than the lithium ion battery. And lifepo4 battery is losing less energy during storage.But A-grade and B-grade have a different performance. 

Anyway, there is no best battery only the one suit for your application. If you're looking for a long-lasting, efficient, and cost-effective option, Westarry LiFePO4 is a great choice. But if you need a higher capacity battery, lithium ion may be the better option.
